CITY OF MISSION

Minutes

September 11, 2013

The Mission City Council met in regular session at 6:00 p.m. on September 11, 2013 at the Mission City Office. Members present were: Mayor Herman and Council Members Littau, Story, Marshall, Stewart, Gueure, and Folkers. Others present Barry Bailey, Pat Burnette, and Leona White Hat.

Motion by Story, seconded by Littau to approve the agenda as submitted.

Motion by Littau, seconded by Story to approve the minutes of August 28, 2013. (All other motions are unanimous unless otherwise stated). 

Barry Bailey gave a report of police activities.

Motion by Stewart, seconded by Folkers to approve payment of bills. Roll call vote all ayes.

Motion by Stewart, seconded by Story to request $111,635.00 in property tax levy from the County Auditor for 2014.

Motion by Folkers, seconded by Guerue to place Ordinance 2013-01 Entitled “2014 Annual Appropriation Ordinance” on second reading and to pass and approve. Roll call vote, all ayes

Motion by Littau, seconded by Stewart to purchase propane for the 2013-2014 season from Sandhill Oil for $1.39/gallon.

Motion by Story, seconded by Littau to appoint Heather Petersen as the City’s delegate to the annual Cherry Todd Meeting.

Leona White Hat asked the council for assistance with traffic control at the homecoming parade, officers will be there to help.

There was continued discussion with Pat Burnette regarding her sewer insurance claim. No motions were made.

Motion by Story, seconded by Folkers to adjourn.
