The 41st annual SGU Founders Forums are established to define what we want our institutions and agencies to be for the growth and prosperity of the tribal nation.

This will encompass all aspects affecting the quality of our daily lives such as, but not limited to health, land and natural resources, judicial, social services, energy, housing, finance and technology as addressed by daily topics of culture, education, economic development and tribal governance.

-Culture: How does our culture help ensure the growth, prosperity and perpetuity of the tribal nation?  What are our cultural expectations?  What meaning and emphasis do we assign our cultural traditions, language and heritage as they relate to how we live our daily lives? How can the culture and language help us achieve our goals?

-Education:  What do we want the educational system to be?  What do we want schools to look like?  What do we want schools to teach, what is important for our children to learn so that they will prosper?

-Health: What are our expectations for health care at Rosebud Health Care Facility? What are health care needs for children?  Elderly? What are our needs for health care professionals?

-Social Service: What do we want social service agencies to help us with so that we experience mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being?

-Justice:  What do we want the tribal justice system to look like, to prioritize and to stand for in order to have a safe and prosperous homeland?  What do we expect of our laws, and how should we manage federal and state laws in light of our tribal laws?

-Tribal Lands/Natural Resources: What do we want our tribal lands and natural resources to do or to be so that they help ensure tribal perpetuity, autonomy, sovereignty and prosperity?
