The Boy and Girls Club of Mission have been planting a huge garden located in the back of the building since summer has started.

Many volunteers and children have been participating and it has become such an success.

Director Heidi Big Crow and the children of the Boys and Girls Club have dedicated the garden to a former member of the Boys and Girls Club and her mother after the loss of their lives this July.

The garden will soon be named The M&J Gardens after Melanie and Jahneva Sorace.

A dedication ceremony for the garden is pending. It is still under construction and some planting still needs to be done before the ceremony, Big Crow says.

The girls were a really big help and participated in the Boys and Girls Club. Melanie had donated over 200 flowers and vegetables to the garden and we appreciate all the help her and her daughter have done.

The Boys and Girls Club would like to welcome anyone  and everyone to the event, more info on the garden will be aired to the public.
